But if you have a Super Beetle you need to know if you have an “Early” or “Late” Super Beetle. Leaking fuel hose is the #1 cause of those smoldering VWs you see on the side of the road. Install the fuel filter next to the transmission or beneath the fuel tank. Though some guys will open their plug gaps to .040″ (1mm), we recommend keeping the stock .024-.028″ gap, even though you have a lot more ignition power. But with recent economic changes they have priced themselves completely out of the VW market. Rather than spending a bunch of time and money to refurbish things only to get stock braking power, you have the perfect opportunity to UPGRADE! Performance exhausts are a great way to improve the power, ... For serious stopping power then a large disc upgrade or 4-6 pot callipers are the ultimate in braking systems.
